Swedish finish was developed in the early 1930's in Scandinavia by Doctor A.G Gota . Industry standard Swedish finish is a two-up to five coat procedure. The Under coating is two component with a small amount of Amber tone, The top coat is completely different solvent and is opaque not transparen and contains the tough stuff without amber. The later to come after affects from curing allow this product to lose its heavy built up look to where the wood shines back in subtle form .
